的 online master of education (M.Ed.) in teaching 和 learning is designed primarily for individuals who have already completed coursework to obtain an initial educational license or addition to a license at the graduate level 和 wish to complete a master’s degree. 的 程序 consists of a 21-credit core 和 9 credits of directed electives. 学生 who have completed non-degree licensure or certification 程序s may apply that coursework toward the M.Ed. 适当的学位. Applicants who wish to earn the degree without pursuing initial or additional educational licenses will complete the 21-credit core 和 work with the advisor to select an appropriate array of elective courses.

This 30-credit-hour 程序 may be completed in 18-24 months of full-time study if the student follows a department advisor’s recommended sequence of courses. 学生 do have the option of extending the 程序 should they choose a less aggressive schedule. 的 University allows part-time students to take up to seven years to earn the degree, although the 程序 is typically completed in far less time. All courses are offered on-line. On-campus visits are not required.
